Beware those false friends and pseudo-lover's. They will worm their way into your life, your heart, your psyche. They will lure you with bits of hope, then reel you in for the kill. Once they have you, you are nothing more than a kitty toy for them. They will crush your dreams, smother your soul, and make you doubt your very humanity. Let them weave their contentions on their own. Let it be.
