No its not. However it does have things like fuel injection and computerized timing to enhance fuel efficiency. It fluctuates between working on eight and four cylinders, depending on driving conditions, and has greatly improved aerodynamics along with new lighter structural materials. It is also "alternative fuel" ready. So it can use gasoline mixed with ethynol or pure corn squeezin's if that's available.
Hybrids are overrated. And very ugly. One of my neighbors has one. I can't stand the sight of it. It looks like it should blast off into space or something.
Good job on doing the fuel efficiency homework on your new vehicle. I'm not much of a truck/suv person myself. But you wanted it, you worked hard, and you deserve it!
Hey Ted, you oughtta ask the owners of those Hummers what kind of fuel efficiency they get. heh
I need to have a truck for hauling stuff around at work and got a four-door to lug around my crew and new-sorta-step-family. I'll probably buy a second car in a year or so to balance things out. I'm considering hydrogen on that one.
