Interesting. Sitemeter tells me that I have had two visits recently from someone at "house.gov" in Washington, DC. They used the search words China and Communism. Welcome to the Space, big brother.

just a lit point of reference, Orwell would never have considered himself to be Big Brother. but still, yipes.
I suggest you post a pic of your hairy balls and dedicate it to the prez. you know, a show of support.
I should have worded that a little better. I didn't mean to imply that Orwell IS big brother. And, alas, some woman talked me into shaving my balls recently so I will be unable to show my true support for the prez.
oh, and www.house.gov led me to the house of representatives. considering the shift in power I would think that you would find them peeking at you quite complimentary.
HAIL NANCY PELOSI!!!! that woman has balls. too bad there has been the bad spin concerning her great effort in Syria. She did the right thing, no matter what Bush and Israel says.
They ought to visit more lefty blogs in cyberspace. They won't be very happy at what they read. They can start with mine. I have a pretty good post up now showing just what a jackass our commander in chief is. Take a gander, boys...
Well Ted, with regard to commenting, you can ask our respected host how many readers he actually gets by way of his site meter. They read the content, but they just don't comment, unfortunately. Most often, they lurk, which is what I did for a very long time before actually commenting.
yeah, Chuck, how about that sitemeter? and who knew you could get such specific information from it.
and yes, I realized that you were giving a literal definition, but I was curious how "anonymous" intended it? it is one of those comments that could go both ways, and it was just pretentious enough to bug.
damn those mirky lurkers! hiding behind the html just waiting to pounce with pretentious prattle--"epochal slander." I got your "epochal slander" dangling right here!
although, . . . Chuck, "epochal slander" could be a pretty good subtitle for your blog here.
"Hollander Space: your internet home for Epochal Slander of all sorts--mirky, lurking, and dangling. Sponsored by Vile Brand Whiskey, just right for your mirky lurky dangler or your Oregonian ball-shaver"
I wondered that about the anonymous comment as well. I guess we'll see if and when Anonymous makes further comments.
As far as the sitemeter goes, it usually gives pretty detailed information as to the viewers location. Even gives the IP address. The Space is getting around 20 visitors per day, not counting me, you, and Jacq. So we have a few readers, some repeat and some new, and few commenters.
It's interesting to check the site meter and see exactly who, where and when a person checks out the blog. It shows their location and most often their IP address, but sometimes it comes up as "unknown country." It gives information of how many times they came in, what sites they went on before going into yours, where they clicked, where they clicked in, and how long they were "lurking."
I should have put a site meter on my blog a LONG time ago.
LOL. I think I'll title my next post something like Hot Monkey Love Monday or Tons of Free Pussy. Maybe Live Nude Girls, which I much prefer over those dead nude girls. Of course Hollander Space always has a bottle or two of Vile Brand whiskey for your enjoyment as well. Remember its not just whiskey, its Vile!
You never know what is going to strike a chord with people. Its like throwing a party. You can spend thousands of dollars and have live music and everything and the party might still blow. Sometimes you throw out a few cans of shitty American beer and the thing is a raging success.

House.gov isn't the WhiteHouse... it is the House of Reps... maybe your local congressman is checking you out.
that is going to itch when it grows back in. you will find that it was not really worth it.

I think its the Republicans looking. They want more ammo!
kudos to anonymous, nice to read someone else's comment.
could this be the guy from house?
(smart ass)
perhaps they were googling
"epochal slander" and the computer mistakenly anagrammed those words into "hollander space"...
Marking an important new era in defamation?
um, how should that comment be taken?

Its the literal translation for Epochal Slander.

Oh, and did I mention that I get quite a few readers from China??? As well as all over the world and across the country.

"epochal slander" was only meant as I explained it.
the letters in those words are the same letters in "hollander space".
jesus, Ted.
I thought a literary marvel like you would know what "anagram" meant.
lol.
I know all about anagrams. I was just trying to figure out your intentions, masked man.
masked man...
I may have to repost "the greatest Story Ever Told"
I think you should, as long as it doesn't involve Jesus.
Its about the Lone Ranger
now, whatever you did to get 29 comments it was right. who said politics was getting old?
